Dr. Melody Denson joined The Urology Team in September 2006. She earned her medical degree at the University of Nebraska in 1996. She was a resident urologist until 2002 at the University of Iowa Hospital and clinics. She was a urologic surgeon at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia until 2005. She was a Urologic Surgeon at the Trinity Clinic Urologic Institute & Continence Center in Tyler, Texas.
She has written extensively about female incontinence, use of MRI imaging as a diagnostic tool regarding female incontinence, as well as treatment options for prostate cancer. Dr. Denson is certified by the American Board of Urology. She has affiliations with the American Urological Association, Society of Women in Urology, The South Central Section of the AUA, the Texas Medical Association and Travis County Medical Society.
Dr. Denson's areas of specialty are Pelvic Organ Prolapse or Pelvic Floor Reconstruction, Chronic Pelvic pain or Interstitial cystitis, Incontinence , Interstim Sacral Nerve Placement and Vasectomy. She is a Principal Investigator and Sub-Investigator on selected research.
