Newscaster: The problem is called ED, erectile dysfunction, and it's a result that can be shameful and embarrassing to men. So much so that men don't want to talk about it. Newscaster: Dr. Hardeman, what are some of the, uh, causes of ED?
Dr. Stephen Hardeman: Well patients who have problems with their blood vessels, their nerves and their hormone levels can have problems with, uh, erectile dysfunction. Also patients who are taking medications for certain problems can have side effects that produce erectile dysfunction. And also patients who've had surgeries that, uh, affect the, the structures that are necessary can have problems with erectile dysfunction.
